TAASK Simulated pharmacy
TAASK courses cover a wide range of cases from critical emergency medicine to ICU to anaesthesia for major surgery. The TAASK Simulated Pharmacy is a standardized resource described in a manual, that course faculties are expected to assemble in good time before courses.
The simulated pharmacy is a large box containing:
- four cases of simulated medicines including 'anaesthesia+', 'vasoactive+sepsis', and 'haemostasis including uterotonic meds'.
- two specific boxes 'massive/obstetric haemorrhage' and 'local anaesthetic toxicity'.
- eight trays of ampoules and vials for refilling the above cases as medicines are used during courses.
- a folder of ampoule-, vial- and syringe labels to make replenishing the pharmacy efficient during and after simulations.
